Hello summer! We kicked off the unofficial start of summer up at my parents' cottage for the weekend along with my brother Todd, sister-in-law (and expecting!) Courtney, niece Kara, my parents, and 3 dogs. Yup, it was a house-full!
Uncle Todd reading bedtime stories on the iPad with the kids. Not sure who's bedtime it really was - Todd's or the kids.
The girls going for a ride in Uncle Todd's newest toy. I think we'll actually all get some use out of this one!
The girls about to go for a joy ride. I later found out that Hannah had actually figured out how to turn it on! Needless to say, the key no longer gets left in the ignition.
Jack and Daddy relaxing in the up north air.
The baton has officially been passed from one generation to the next. Hannah has now officially taken over the job of collecting pine cones for a penny for Grandma. I'm sure it won't be long before Kara and Jack will be joining her.
The girls helping Grandma get the boat ready for launch.
This is as good as it gets for getting a posed picture of a 1, 2, and 3 year old.
In up north tradition, we made a campfire and made s'mores. Judging from the amount of marshmallow on the girls' faces, I'd say they approved. (Side note - the chocolate marshmallows are AWESOME in s'mores!!)
Papa and the Davis kids
Hannah LOVES her cousin Kara. It's so nice that they are finally old enough to really play together, and they get along really well. I hope that they are always close.
We ended the weekend with another up north tradition - donuts! We have a powdered sugar lover and a chocolate lover. A perfect ending to a great weekend.
