We are officially counting down to Christmas here in the Davis household. Last night was a very special night as we cuddled up on the couch, hot chocolate in hand, and stayed up late to watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer for the very first time.
Appropriately, when we woke up this morning, the grass was covered in a blanket of snow for the very first time this season!
As I was getting Jack changed, Hannah came running into their bedroom yelling, "Grass covered up. It's snowing!"
Since we don't yet have winter boots, we opted to stay inside, and in honor of the first day of December, we made red (with chocolate chips) and green (with blueberries) pancakes instead.
Hannah gobbled them right up!
Even Jack was happy with the festivity of the morning.
After breakfast, we opened the first door on our advent calendar and then did our first Christmas advent activity. Hannah learned that A is for angels, B is for Baby Jesus, and C is for Christmas. We're looking forward to 24 more days of fun this month!
