Hannah and I headed out early this morning to take advantage of the beautiful day to visit the zoo. I didn't even think about end-of-the-year field trips. When we arrived, there were a few buses already in the parking lot. I was afraid the place would be packed, but thankfully we arrived early enough that it wasn't bad at all. We made our way through the whole zoo and were on our way out when a ton of kids were making their way in. It really worked out pretty well.
I didn't get very many good pictures, as taking pictures of a two-year old all by myself while trying to keep track of her proved to be somewhat difficult.
Riding the "nay nay" barrel
She was too excited to see the lions to spend much time playing the bongos. Unfortunately, by the end of our visit, most of the animals were all asleep. Can somebody please tell me when these animals are awake? We've now gone in the morning and afternoon, and they always seem to be napping!
Watching the ducks swim around the monkey island, as, again, the monkeys were all napping.
Since the day was still young when we finished our visit, we took a walk over to the park before we left. For some reason, Hannah's seemed to developed a fear of slides. She used to go down them without hesitation, but from the expression on her face above, you can see that she was not having it today.
